What is known:
ERAS pathways have a number of clearly defined short-term benefits but there is emerging evidence that there could be longer term benefits including cancer survival. E.g. here
What this study adds:
This is a single centre, retrospective study and clearly the results should be read with caution, but its an important addition to the colorectal data suggesting the longer term benefits of ERAS pathways.
